Michael Steighner, LSW
Therapist - Arvada Office & Lakewood Office
There is not a person on this earth that has it "all figured out." In fact the happiest people I know readily admit that they do not. After recognizing that truth, the next step is asking for help. Albeit, this can be daunting, but reaching out for help is single handedly the strongest action a person can take.

Michael's goal is to meet you where you are and guide you along that journey. His therapeutic experience is trauma informed which means that he incorporates your life experiences, good and bad, into your work together.
I work to help my clients with depression, anxiety, traumas, and self-doubts through evidence based modalities including Cognitive and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, and movement therapies. Our society often condemns vulnerability, but I want you to embrace it, as the growth you can experience is immeasurable.

Kiah Karlsson-Skelly, LPC, NCC
Therapist - Lakewood Office
Kiah (she/her) enjoys working with individuals of all ages, especially preteens and adolescents. She has experience forming secure therapeutic relationships with the “toughest” kids out there who can be tricky to engage, and genuinely enjoys the process of getting to know her clients while supporting their own inherent abilities to access higher levels of self-awareness, resilience, and healing.
Kiah’s approach is collaborative, grounded in an embodied understanding of attachment theory and deeply trauma-informed. She combines toughness and tenderness in the therapy room when it comes to balancing the need for support in maturing and developing accountability along with the deep need for grace and acceptance that is at the core of any good therapy. Everyone—regardless of age—is deserving of a space devoted to their growth and recovery.
Kiah is a firm believer there is no one-size-fits-all solution to the problem of being human! Modalities that inform her current clinical approach include TST, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Existential, and Attachment-Based Family Therapy (ABFT).

Rachel Smith, MA, LPCC
Therapist - Glendale Office
Your internal struggles are real, and you are not alone. Wholeness begins with healing. They say time heals all wounds, but some wounds are so deep it feels as though they may never heal.
Asking for help takes strength.
If you’re experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma from sexual assault or abuse, and/or sex and relationship issues, let’s chat.
My approach to counseling is interdisciplinary, borrowing heavily from mindfulness practices, CBT skills training, narrative therapy, and strengths-based modalities. I approach therapy with an open mind and open heart and believe laughter often truly is the best medicine.
Therapy is a collaborative experience in which I place importance in meeting people where they are, non-judgmentally. I offer trans and queer-affirming counseling, identity exploration, and am sex, sex work, kink, poly/ENM positive.
